(Not Quite) Last Minute Sewing

Happy December! Are you still planning to get some holiday sewing done before the 25th? There’s still time, but you’ll need to stay calm under pressure. There are always great project ideas to be found on the internet, and I’ll share a few of the interesting places that I visited this week.

Sew Mama Sew always does a terrific job of coming up with a full month of handmade gift ideas.

The 12 Gifts of Christmas is an awesome 12 stop tour of super gift tutorials and tips just in time for the holidays. 11 fabulously talented sewing bloggers join Jennifer in bringing you simple, stylish, and useful gift tutorials for everyone on your list.

If pouches are your thing, you’ll find two whole weeks of pouch eye candy, tutorials, and pattern reviews!

Ashley posted a tutorial for these cute and practical fabric storage buckets … great for organizing just about anything.

And the Moda Bakeshop is a great source of free project ideas any time of year.

If you find you need a bit more fabric to finish (or start!) some of your December projects, be sure to check the shop. You’ll find some great deals on yardage and fat quarters.

There are kits for Flea Market Fancy Dresden pillows and batik table runners which you can make in under a day.

Did you know that orders received before 2 pm (EST) ship the same day? And that shipping to many places in Ontario and Quebec takes only a day or two? And that most other regions of Canada will receive their orders within a week ? (remote rural areas and Northern addresses excepted).

 There’s still time!
