If you’ve been following my blog for a year or two, you might remember that the first week of August finds our family at Red Pine Camp on the shores of Golden Lake.
It’s a tradition that has been 15 years in the making, ever since our kids were little. It’s one week of the year where I can really indulge my love of reading. But I’m not the only one in our house who loves to read.
In the stack of books that came to camp with us you’ll find Northanger Abbey (Jane Austen); The Coroner’s Lunch (Colin Cotterill); Cutting for Stone (Abraham Verghese); Disaster at Dieppe (Jim Lotz) and Valour at Vimy Ridge (Tom Douglas); City of Bones (first book in Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series); The Tragedy of Arthur (Arthur Phillips); Saga Volume 1 and 2 (graphic novels by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples); and Mindfulness for Dummies (no time like vacation for a little self-improvement).
Can you guess which title I’m reading for our next book club meeting?
This little stack of Thesaurus by Thomas Knauer seems a fitting choice for a reading-related giveaway.
You’ll get one chance to win just for guessing, and a second chance to win if you guess correctly.
I’ll draw a winner at random once I’m back (and reveal the correct answer to the question.) Hopefully I’ll have finished the book by then too!
