Sewing for the last 3 months — 3 Sailor Tops, pattern from Fancy Tiger Crafts. I had fun making these raglan-sleeve tops, and will probably make a few more. They sew up quickly, look terrific in all sorts of prints, and are just right for casual dressing on a hot summer day.

And a long wait it’s been! Wild & Free was an Art Gallery Limited Edition collection by Maureen Cracknell that was released last fall. I received my shipment in January, but this beautiful arrow print was missing. I loved the collection as a whole, but was not able to offer bundles at the time.

It’s a long weekend here in Canada — officially celebrating Queen Victoria’s birthday! For many Canadians it marks the unofficial start of summer, with campgrounds booked and garden centers overflowing. I’ll be at the garden center and working in the yard to try and whip my garden into shape.

Last minute sewing on the weekend (pat on the back for me). Long-arm quilting on Monday (thanks Sharyn). Cutting and packaging up a storm in the loft (thanks Maureen).
