Christmas Stocking


In this class you will learn to make a cuffed Christmas stocking with lining, and toe and heel applique accents. As a bonus you will also learn to make a mini stocking, which can be used as a tree ornament or get a start on an Advent calendar for next year.

Skill level — advanced beginner

When — Saturday December 10, 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Supplies —

- half yard each of an outer and a lining fabric plus a fat quarter of whatever fabric is used for the toe, heel and cuff. If using scraps, the piece for the cuff needs to be at least 8" x 14"

- 6" to 8" of ribbon for hanging

- for the mini stocking, at least 5" x 8" each of outer and lining, plus 3" of ribbon

About the instructor — Monika is a quilter, sewer, and overall creative person who loves to make practical things beautiful. Having inherited her creative talent from her mother, she was taught to sew in elementary school and then rediscovered her love for fabric in her early twenties. Now she works at Mad About Patchwork and enjoys teaching both kids and adults.
