Workshop Event — Modern Memory Quilts

Dive into memory quilting with Suzanne Paquette's modern take on classic Half-Square Triangles.

By using familiar blocks in the design of their modern memory quilt, novice to experienced quilters can focus on learning and exploring modern memory quilting techniques: from memory keeping, empathy + design, and telling your story through colour, to starching and fabric stabilization, managing bulk, working with different fabrics and fussy-cutting.

At the end of the two day workshop, speedy quilters with quick decision making skills will have a completed quilt top. While more moderately paced quilters and those who prefer to spend more time working through the design process will have completed part of their quilt top, and have acquired the knowledge and skills to complete their project in their own time.

This two day workshop will be held at 2470 Huntley (Grace Baptist Church), just across the road from the store. Participants will need to bring their own machines.
