In this class you will make a sampler with twelve blocks showcasing the different walking foot designs. You will have a chance to practice on each and we will then have a brief discussion/demo on how to assemble it in the Quilt-As-you-Go method as well as attaching a two-toned binding (different fabrics, front and back).

Skill level — some experience quilting straight lines with a walking foot; know how to make a quilt sandwich

About the instructor — Irene’s passion for quilting began after attending the Creativ Festival in Ottawa back in 2003. Since that day she has produced over 200 quilts and has been actively involved in the quilting community, on a local and national level. Retired from the Public Service in 2013, Irene could not sit still. She has given trunk shows, presentations and workshops throughout the Ottawa region and is looking forward to sharing some of her 15-year knowledge at Mad About Patchwork where she now works.
