What happens if you can't attend all the classes in a series?  We have a couple of options for you to consider:

  •   Contact Ali or one of the staff to see if there is another time and date available to come in to catch up. Depending on how much assistance is necessary, there will be an additional cost of $40/hr to cover staff time.

Other Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Our classroom is currently located in a temporary space on the main level of the large building.  Please being alternative shoes if it is raining or snowing.
  • Our store is on a second floor with stairs; regrettably  it is NOT accessible for those with mobility concerns. If you need help carrying your things upstairs we are happy to oblige,
  • The sewing studio is outfitted with PFAFF 620 machines; if you prefer to sew on your own machine you can bring it to class. It must be in good working order and you must know how to use it; our instructors will not be able to help with sewing machine problems other than the in-class machines.
  • We recommend purchasing your supplies in advance of the class so that you can do any prep work required for the class.
(if a class is canceled we do not refund supplies purchased if it is cut fabric or patterns, we will refund rulers and tools, if in the original packaging)
  • Respect for copyright is important to us! You MUST bring your own copy of books and patterns to class, including PDF patterns and tutorials. Please contact us if you are having trouble downloading or printing a PDF file and we can help you out.
  • We have classes geared for all levels of sewists; for your own enjoyment of the class we have suggested pre-requisites to ensure you are able to keep up with the instructor. If you are unsure, please ask us for more information before signing up.

Weather Policy

Worried about the weather?

As a Small business its always hard to judge weather patterns, and actual accumulation without a crystal ball.  So we have set in place this simple weather policy.

If there is a weather situation that looks to hamper the class we will either push back the start time, to accommodate road clearing, and individuals to slowly make their way to class.

If the weather is deemed too bad to traverse by staff and the class is unable to run on that date, it will be rescheduled. Saturday classes will go to the following Sunday, week night classes to the next evening.

All these determinations are up the staff/owner of Mad About Patchwork.

If you individually decide that you can not make it to the class due to weather conditions, you will have forfeited your class fee, and there will be no makeup or refund.

If when there is a rescheduling due to weather, and the new date does not work for you, then you will be offered a 50% refund.  If a class is pushed back in time on the same date, no refund will be offered.

There is no refund for materials, patterns or tools purchased.
