Lickety Split Log Cabin Quilt Pattern

CLPJAW004

By Jean Ann Wright. Lickety Split is an example of the furrows layout for a traditional log cabin quilt. It is made up of just twenty 8" finished blocks, so it goes together very quickly. Once you know how to use the tool, you can make these blocks in about 15 minutes and finish the quilt in a day!

Tip: eliminate the math by cutting the strips using the center white line on any of the Creative Grids 3-1/2" wide rectangles. This line is at the 1-3/4" mark, the width of the strips needed for this tool.

  • Finished size: 42" x 50"
  • Creative Grids CGRJAW1 ruler required; CGR312, CGR318 or CGR324 recommended (sold separately)
  • Project type: quilt
  • Printed paper pattern
