Dive into the delightful world of quilting with our class on the Daylesford pattern by Jen Kingwell, a captivating project featured in her "Quilt Recipes" book. This class offers a unique opportunity to explore a pattern that can be as simple or complex as you choose, allowing for personal flair and creativity. The Daylesford quilt is perfect for those looking to use their fabric stash creatively, with options for scrappy looks from fat quarter bundles or half yard bundles. It's a versatile design that encourages quilters to engage with their materials in new and exciting ways, offering the chance to learn, share, and enhance quilting skills alongside fellow enthusiasts.

In this class participants will learn to make the subunits of this quilt with a focus on accuracy. This will include: HST; pinwheel; flying geese; bow tie block; the cross and window blocks (as time allows). A review of the steps of accurate cutting, pressing and piecing of small blocks as well as the management of bulk in seams will be covered. Some time will also be spent on creating colour balance within the quilt.

Equipment required:
Fine pins
Smaller ruler for squaring up e.g. 6.5” or 8.5” square ruler
Marking utensil of your choice.
Fabric of your choice (a mix of scraps and half yards preferred). Some width of fabric pieces are required to make this quilt.
