🍪 The Basics 🍪
Block Sizes: 12" x 12" and 6" x 6" finished
(12.5" x 12.5" and 6.5" x 6.5" unfinished)
Background & Ornament Cap: Provided in a kit (for consistency).
Ornament (Bauble): Use print or solid fabrics from your own stash. This is a chance to show off your personality and creativity!
Make a Dozen: Just like cookies, you’ll sew 12 blocks [(6) 6" and (6) 12")].
Just like a holiday cookie swap, but with blocks! You’ll go home with a festive collection of
quilt blocks made by your fellow retreaters.

🍪 How the Swap Works 🍪
10 Blocks → Go into the swap pool,
and you’ll receive 10 unique blocks back.
2 Blocks → Entered into a Block Lottery.
Two lucky winners will each take home up to 30 extra blocks!
🍪 Do I Have to Participate?🍪
Nope! Participation is completely optional.
🍪 What if I don’t know how to make the block?🍪
A pattern and kit are available for you to use. We will provide clear instructions and you will have plenty of support.
🍪 Do I need to buy special fabric?🍪
Nope! We’re giving you the background and ornament cap fabric. For the ornament fabric itself, please dig into your stash – it’s a great way to use those special prints, novelty fabrics and holiday favourites.
🍪 Can I use Any Colours?🍪
Yes, but please work within the two colourways we have shared so that the swapped blocks all coordinate nicely.
🍪 Do my blocks need to be perfect? 🍪
This is about fun, community, and creativity – not perfection. Do your best and enjoy the process!
