Hot Stuff Everyday Mitt
Create a stylish and practical oven mitt with your favorite fabrics! Using the included silicone overlay, you’ll learn how to quilt and assemble a heat-resistant mitt that’s both beautiful and functional. This project is fat quarter friendly and a great skill-builder for confident beginners and beyond.

You will receive a copy of the pattern day of class and a silicone insert for pickup prior to or at class

  • Fabric (42–44" wide cotton quilting fabric)

    • Fabric 1: 1 Fat Quarter (FQ) or 1/3 yard for silicone insert (transparent oven mitts only – best with high contrast, bright fabrics on a light background)

    • Fabric 2: 1 FQ or 1/2 yard for quilted lining

    • Fabric 3: 1 Fat Eighth (FE), 1 FQ, or 1/8 yard for lower band, binding, and hanging loop

    • Fabric 4: 1 FQ or 1/2 yard of white cotton or muslin for quilted lining (transparent oven mitts)
      OR 1/2 yard of scrap cotton fabric or muslin for colored silicone (fabric will not show)

    Interfacing & Batting

    • 1/8 yard woven cotton fusible interfacing (e.g., Pellon® Shapeflex SF101)

    • 1/2 yard medium-weight cotton batting
