Join the fun and creativity at Mad About Patchwork’s Annual Quilt Walk (Sept. 18–20, 2026) by entering our Mini Quilt Challenge!

How It Works:

Visitors to the Quilt Walk vote for their favourite quilts, with prizes awarded for both People’s Choice and Staff Pick.

This Year’s Theme: Pop of Colour

How it Works: 

🧵 Grab a MAP Mini Challenge Bundle (1+ yard total of 6 fabrics) in-store or online. A pack must be purchased to enter. Anyone who purchases a Mini Pack can enter — you do not need to attend the Quilt Walk in person.

Kona Colours used in the mini bundles (packs vary) are:

• 5 grey fat sixths
• 1 surprise pop-of-colour fat sixth

🎨 Create a mini quilt (max size: 24" x 24") using all 6 challenge fabrics.

✅ You may use black and/or white as extra colours but do not need to. Beading, creative stitching, and other such embellishments are welcome.

⛔️ You may not use any other fabrics, solid or otherwise. 

🛠️ Use any piecing technique: traditional, foundation paper piecing, English paper piecing, quilt-as-you-go, etc.

💪 Quilts may be machine- or hand-quilted.

🖊️ Design may be original or a published pattern (designer credit required).

🌲Mini Quilts will be displayed OUTSIDE and may be subject to the elements, insects etc...
