November Newsletter continued

I started a rather lengthy post at the beginning of the month to update you on everything happening in the shop and studio. I’ve finally come back with the second part of that post.

We’re busy in the studio in the time left before the holidays. There’s still time to finish your first quilt in time for Christmas. Beginner Quilt class with Heidi starts this Thursday evening @ 6:30. Maureen can show you how to sew up an infinity scarf — always a nice gift for the fashionistas on your list — November 26 in the afternoon. Katy’s got 2 ways to make a pillow — paper pieced on November 27 or from a favourite T-shirt on December 11. Heidi’s got you covered with a Japanese style cross-over apron — join her on December 5 from 10 – 12 noon to make the adult or child size. And Katy can show you the ins and outs of a 1-Hour Basket from kelbysews on December 12 from 10:30 – 12 noon.

We’ve also got 2 community sew-ins planned in December — bring your own projects to work on for a cozy afternoon in the studio. We’ve got you covered with machines and basic tools to get those projects finished! You’ll need to book a spot because space is limited, but $5 for an afternoon of precious sewing time is a not-to-be missed opportunity.

Look at this quilt top made by Bonnie and quilted by Sharyn for the shop — fabric is Tinselfrom Cotton and Steel and pattern is Mod Squared from Ardvaark Quilts. A great big twin size that sews up quickly and is great for showing off large scale prints!

Enjoy 15% savings on Tinsel and Evergreen collections with coupon TINSEL15 until November 26.
